Help!

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| How can I fully listen to someone's point of view before sharing my own? | Ex. I can let my friend finish his side of the argument and interpret what he's saying before I speak. I should not cut them off in the middle of their thought.
🗑
| Listening Empathetically | Try to look for the other person's emotions. Don't think that you know exactly how they feel.
🗑
| How can I grow my ability to listen empathetically? | I can practice with people when they come to me and speak with their emotions.
🗑
| Use ideas from your listener's point of view as well as your own. | Make sure your listener can understand where you're coming from. Don't overrun them with only ideas from your point of view.
🗑
| Empathy | The ability to understand and share others' emotions
🗑
| What does listening empathically do for me? | It stops the miscommunication and allows you and whoever you're talking to, to understand where both sides are coming from. You gain a sense of understanding and it really helps to stop arguing and fights.
🗑
| How can I stop myself from ineffectively listening? | I need to stay away from advising, probing, interpreting, and judging in the middle of our conversation, and just listen to what the speaker is saying.
