Definition
Terrace Farming   Building a series of steps or flat land for farming on the sides of hills or mountains. These is beneficial for collecting rainfall & sustaining crops

Horticulture   The practice of growing crops through gardening

Animal Domestication   When humans raise or care for animals for protection or food.

Plant Domestication   Growing crops that were planted, raised & harvested by humans

Organic Farming   Foods grown without pesticides and only grown using organic fertilizers (manure). Believed to be healthier but more labor intensive.

Second Agricultural Revolution   The changes that took place when farm equipment/machines were developed to increase farm production

Feed Lots   Confined spaces where animals, such as hogs and cattle are kept. This allows for little movement and animals gain weight faster & require less room.
