| What is a pure substance? | It is a type of matter that contains only one kind of particle.

| What is a mixture? | It is matter that contains two or more pure substances mixed together.

| What is a Solution? ( homogeneous) | It is a mixture that looks like a single pure substance. Actually, it is a uniform mixture of two or more pure substances

| What is a Mechanical Mixture? ( heterogeneous ) | It is a mixture with different parts that you can see. e.g. granola bar, cereal and milk, raisin barn muffin, pencil crayons in a pencil case.

| What is the particle theory? | The particle theory of matter helps scientists to explain two key things: What matter is made of and how matter behaves.

| What is matter? | Matter is anything that has mass and takes up space.

| What is the difference between a solid, liquid and gas? | The difference between a solid, liquid and a gas is: how the particles are moved and how the particles are arranged.

| What is the difference between a pure substance and a mixture | The difference between them two are that a pure substance is a type of matter with ONE kind of particle, and a mixture is a type of matter that contains two or more pure substances mixed together.
