Sets   A group of things that have a certain property in common e.g. even numbers 2 4 6 8 10

An element   The numbers or objects in a set are called the elements

Cardinal Number #   This is the number of numbers within a set. For example Set A has 5 numbers{1,2,3,4,5} and Set B has 3 numbers {2,4,6}

Prime Number   This is any number that can be divided by itself and 1 only. Example {2, 3, 5, ...}

Null Set   This is a set that has no elements. It is given the symbol {}  
🗑
Subset   When given two sets A and B. If all of the elements of B are also in A, then B is said to be a subset of A. Example Set A {1,2,3,4,5,6,7} and Set B {1,2,3,4,5}; B is a subset of A.

Union of two sets   The set of elements contained in both sets

Intersection of two sets   The set of elements common to both sets  
🗑
Universal Set   The set that contains all elements  
🗑
Complement of Set A   List all of the elements of the universal set except set A. In other words, all of the elements outside Set A.

A\B   This is the set of elements in A but not in B. In other words list A without B.
