| Equator | An imaginary line that circles Earth halway betwen the North Pole and the South Pole. This line divides Earth into the Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere.

| Prime Meridian | An imaginary line that runs from the North Pole to the South Pole and divides Earth into the Western Hemisphere and the Eastern Hemisphere.

| Gulf | Parts of sea or ocean that cuts into a mass of land.

| Bay | Similar to a gulf, but usually it is smaller and has a wide opening to the sea.

| Source | Where a river begins.

| Mouth | Where the river empties into a larger body of water like an ocean or a lake.

| Tributary | a small stream that feeds into a river

| Delta | This is formed when soil is deposited at the mouth of a river. It is usually shaped like a triangle.

Review the information in the table. When you are ready to quiz yourself you can hide individual columns or the entire table. Then you can click on the empty cells to reveal the answer. Try to recall what will be displayed before clicking the empty cell.
