QuestionAnswer
Column A type of feature that is regularly run in a paper, featuring a single writer
Copy A story or article written for a news paper, also a page or block of text
Copyreading Checking copy for errors before it is entered into a computer or before it receives its final rewrite
Dateline A place-names at the beginning of a story that tells the reader where the story happened
Deadline Time at which a job must be handed in or completed to make the issue data of the publication
Direct Quote The reproduction of a speaker's exact words set within quotation marks
Editor A journalist who works with reporters, giving out assignments and deadlines and helps them craft their stories
Editorial Column An article representing the opinion of an individual writer
Editorializing Inserting the writer's opinion into a news story, which should be written objectively
