What is a tsunami? A giant ocean wave with enormous power.

What is biodiversity? A variety of species in an ecosystem.
What does dormant mean? inactive for long periods of time. Most commonly associated with volcanoes.
What is a zoologist? A scientist who studies animals.
What is the ring of fire? A volcanic zone around the Pacific ocean where the tectonic plates that make up the earths crust meet.
What is a wallaby? A small kangaroo.
What two types of countries is Southeast Asia made of? Mainland countries and island countries.
What are the mainland countries of Southeast Asia? Myanmar (Burma), Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia.
What are the island countries of Southeast Asia? Indonesia and the Philippines.
What country is southeast Asia just south of? China
How many peninsulas are in Southeast Asia? 2, the Indochinese peninsula and the Malay peninsula
About how many islands make up Indonesia and the Philippines? About 25,000
