Landform Landform: a natural feature of the earth’s surface
Bay Bay: a broad inlet of the sea where the land curves inward
Tidal River A tidal river is a river whose flow and level are caused by tides
Coastal Plain A coastal plain is a flat, low-lying area of land that is next to the ocean and extends inland from the seashore
Carolina Bay Carolina bay: Shallow, elliptical depression in the Atlantic Coastal Plain that can range in size from tens of feet to miles across
Fall Zone Fall zone: the area where a coastal plain and an upland region meet
River System River system: a network of inter connected rivers and streams that drain an area of land
