Earth’s layers

QuestionAnswer
When and how was the earth made? 4.6 Billion years ago due to gravity
What is the order of the layers? Crust -> mantle -> outer core -> inner core
What are the traits of the crust layer? Thinnest layer, between 7-60km thick
What are the traits of the mantle? Largest layer, made from molten rock and between 1500-3000 degrees
What are the traits of the core layers? Above 5000 degrees, made from iron and nickel
What makes the inner core special? Solid due to pressure
