Where is Limestone Pavement most commonly found? County Clare, The Burren.
What is the formation of Carbonic acid? H2O+CO2=H2CO3
What is a Grike? Intersecting lines formed in limestone which has been exposed to the surface through carbonation.
Define Percolation. The movement of water through pores/holes in the rock.
What is a stalactite? Icicle-shaped dripstone features which hang downwards from the roof of a cave.
What is a stalagmite? Shapeless mounds of dripstone that form from water dripping from stalactites onto the floor below.
