Planer projections a map created by projecting an image of the earth onto a plane
conic projections a map of the earth created by placing a cone over part of the earth's modle
laditude distance north or south of the equator measured in dergees
longitude distance measured in degrees or time east or west from the prime meridian
key a map legend
scale bar shows the relationship between map measurement and actual distances
compass rose map tool that indicates direction (north, south, east, west)
cardinal directions the four principal courses of routes north, south, east, west,
