| Infinite | Never run out or end |
| Finite | Limited supply |
| Sustainable | Not completely destroying resources |
| Exploitation | The use of natural resources for humanity |
| Irrigation | Artificial watering of land |
| Raised Bog | Bog found in the Midlands & approx 8 metres deep |
| Blanket Bog | Bog found along the west coast and mountains. Approx 3 to 4 metres deep. |
| Depletion | Using resource faster than they can be renewed |
| Input | Something added into a system |
| Output | Something produced from a system |
| Quotas | Government-imposed restriction |
| Tillage | The preparation of soil by mechanical agitation |
| Arable | Land that is capable of being used to grow crops |
| Processes | Tasks or jobs done. |
