Region

TermDefinition
Functional(Nodal) Region Areas that are linked together to function as a unit.
Perceptual(Popular) Region Areas based on human thoughts/feelings, usually nicknamed.
Formal(Uniform) Region An area with 1 or more characteristics that separate it from another.
Physical Characteristics Natural Regions; mountains, coastlines, plains,forests,etc.
Human Characteristics Regions created by humans; agricultural, economic, industrial, cultural, political, etc.
Boundaries something that indicates the limit of an area; border.
Unifying to become a single unit/one; unite.
