TermDefinition
Global Warming The concept of a general increase in Earth's average temperature over time due to the heightened amount of greenhouse gasses.
Greenhouse Gasses A gas which adds to the greenhouse effect, as in it allows light to come in, but does not allow the heat created by it to escape.
Acid Rain Rainfall that is turned acidic due to atmospheric pollution.
Pollution The presence or introduction of some thing or material which causes harm to the environment.
Adapt To change in order to fit in or survive.
Depend To rely on.
Modify To change in some way, usually to make it better.
Natural Disaster Any natural occurrence, which has a large, devastating effect on a populated area.
Deforestation The cutting down or destruction of large areas of forest.
