| PLAIN | A large area of flat or gently sloping land |
| RESERVOIR | A large natural or artificial lake used as a source of water supply. a supply or source of something |
| ARCHIPELAGO | A large group or chain of islands |
| OASIS | A small fertile or green area in a desert region, usually having a spring or well |
| DELTA | A land form that is formed at the mouth of the river, where the river flows into an ocean, sea, estuary, or lake |
| PENINSULA | A piece of land surrounded by water on three sides |
| ESTUARY | The tidal mouth of a river, where the tide meets the steam |
| DESERT | An arid region with little rainfall |
| HARBOR | A sheltered part of water deep enough to anchor ship |
| MOUNTAIN | A natural elevation of the earth usually greater than 610m |
| CANAL | An artificial water constructed to allow the passage of boats or ships |
| GULF | A deep inlet of the sea almost surrounded by land, with a narrow mouth |
| CRAG | A steep, rugged rock; rough, broken, projecting part of a rock |
| PASS | A narrow route across a relatively low notch or depression in mountain barrier |
| GORGE | A small canyon |
| PLATEAU | A land area having a relatively level surface considerably raised above adjoining land on at least one side |
| DIVIDE | The line or zone of higher ground between two streams |
| STRAIT | A narrow passage of water connecting two bodies of water |
