| genocide | mass murder of people because of there race, religon, ethnicity, polotics, or culture. |
| immigration | a person who moves to another country to make a perminint home. |
| imperialism | system of building fogen empires for military and trade advantages. |
| indegenous | native to or originating from a place. |
| industrialized country | country in which a great deal in manufacuring occurs. |
| literacy rate | percentage of people who can read and write. |
| overgraze | to allow animals to strip areas so bare that plants can not come back. |
| refugee | person who flees to another country to avoid persicution or disaster. |
| savanna | brod grass land with few trees, found in the tropics. |
| substance farm | small plot where farmers only grow enough to feed his own family. |
