| Perpendicular | lines intersecting at or forming right angles |
| Intersecting | crossed or intersected in the form of an X |
| Reflection | A transformation that "flips" a figure over a mirror or reflection line. |
| Translation | A transformation that "slides" each point of a figure the same distance in the same direction. |
| Rotation | A transformation that turns a figure about a fixed point at a given angle and a given direction. |
| Congruent | same size, same shape |
| Similar | same shape, but different size |
| Parallelgram | a quadrilateral with 2 pairs of parallel sides |
| Polygon | a closed plane figure bounded by straight sides |
| Rectangle | a parallelogram with four right angles |
| Square | (geometry) a plane rectangle with four equal sides and four right angles |
| edge | The line segment where two faces of a solid figure meet. |
| Segment | part of a line with two endpoints |
| ray | a straight line extending from a point |
| line | a straight path that extends without end in opposite directions |
| Corner | the point where two lines meet or intersect |
| Vertex | The common endpoint of an angle |
| edge | The line segment where two faces of a solid figure meet. |
