Perpendicular | lines intersecting at or forming right angles |
Intersecting | crossed or intersected in the form of an X |
Reflection | A transformation that "flips" a figure over a mirror or reflection line. |
Translation | A transformation that "slides" each point of a figure the same distance in the same direction. |
Rotation | A transformation that turns a figure about a fixed point at a given angle and a given direction. |
Congruent | same size, same shape |
Similar | same shape, but different size |
Parallelgram | a quadrilateral with 2 pairs of parallel sides |
Polygon | a closed plane figure bounded by straight sides |
Rectangle | a parallelogram with four right angles |
Square | (geometry) a plane rectangle with four equal sides and four right angles |
edge | The line segment where two faces of a solid figure meet. |
Segment | part of a line with two endpoints |
ray | a straight line extending from a point |
line | a straight path that extends without end in opposite directions |
Corner | the point where two lines meet or intersect |
Vertex | The common endpoint of an angle |
edge | The line segment where two faces of a solid figure meet. |
