Divisibility Rules

Divisibility Rules to Help You With Division

QuestionAnswer
A number is divisible by 2 if the number in the ones place is even.
A number is divisible by 4 if two's partner is even.
A number is divisible by 3 if the sum of the digits is divisible by 3.
A number is divisible by 5 if the number ends in a 5 or 0.
A number is divisible by 6 if the number is divisible by 2 and 3.
A number is divisible by 9 if the sum of the digits is divisible by 9.
A number is divisible by 10 if the number ends in a 0.
