What is the Aircraft Crash and Salvage Officer (AirBos'n) responsible? Supervises crash crews and fire parties in aircraft emergencies during fire fighting evolutions. Is responsible to the Flight Deck Officer for proper positioning of fire fighting equipment. ensures the readiness of personnel, fire fighting/ salvage equip.
What are Fly Petty Officers 1, 2 & 3 responsible for ? Fly1- aircraft movement on the forward part od the flight deck including aircraft catapults #1&2 FLY2-aircraft movement amidships including aircraft catapults #3&4 FLY3- aircraft movement, aft part of flight deck.
what are the Aircraft Handling Crew Members responsible for ? for the handling of aircraft on the flight deck, by installing and removing chocks, tie down, and tow bars.
What is the structure of V-2 Division? V-2 Div headed by the Catapult and Arresting Gear Officer. they are responsible for the operations of the ships launch, recovery, and visual landing aids equipment.
What is the structure of V-3 Division? V-3 Headed by the Hangar deck Officer, Hangar Deck LCPO/CPO/LPO, Bay Petty Officers 1,2&3.
What is the Hangar Deck Officer responsible for ? for the planning and supervision of handling, movement and security of aircraft on the hangar deck. maintenance and operation of all assigned fire fighting and associated damage control equipment on the hangar deck.
What is the Structure of V-4 Division? Headed by the Aviation Fuels Officer who os responsible for the fueling and de-fueling of embarked aircraft.
