QuestionAnswer
What is a Chemical Bond? A strong attraction between negatively charged electrons and positively charged protons.
What are valence electrons? Electrons that interact with another atom's electrons from the outer shell.
What are molecules? A discrete unit of atoms bonded together.
What is an ionic bond? A bond where valence electrons are either gained or lost from another atom.
What is a covalent bond? A bond where valence electrons are shared with another atom.
