| unreliable narrator | the reader does not believe that what the narrator tells them is true |
| obtrusive narrator | a narrator who gives commentaries and evaluates |
| unobtrusive narrator | a narrator who describes the situations without much commentary |
| objective narrator | a narrator who tells the story as it really was |
| a subjective narrator | a narrator who tells the story as he or she thinks it happened |
