States of Matter

| What is a solid? | A solid is a state of matter when all the particles a close together but vibrating. |
| What is a liquid? | A liquid is a state of matter when some of the particles are close together. A liquid can flow freely but of constant volume. |
| What is a gas? | A gas is a state of matter when all the particles are not close together and moves in every direction. It also expands freely to fill any space available. |
| What is a particle? | A particle is the smallest part you can split substances into. |
| What is compress? | Compress means to be flatten by pressure. |
| What is pressure? | Pressure is caused by particles hitting the side of a container. |
| What is diffusion? | Diffusion is another scientific synonym for spread out. |
