REFLECTION How we describe light that bounces back
MIRROR A surface that reflects the light that falls on it.
SHADOW An area were there is no light
OPAQUE A substance that you cannot see through.
LUMINOUS We call an object this if it gives out light
TRANSPARENT Light can pass through water & glass so these substances are?
SPECTRUM This is produced when light goes through a prism.
REFRACTION This is when light changes direction. It can make water look shallower than it is.
INCIDENT RAY A light ray that hits a surface.
MEDIUM A material that light (or sound) passes though.
TRANSLUCENT A material that scatters light as it passes through so it is difficult to see through. Bathroom windows are often like this.
