what are the seven types of radiation? radio waves,microwaves,infra-red,visible light,ultraviolet,x-rays and gamma rays
what is radiation? radiation is just a transfer of energy for example sunlight
what are the 3 typesof ionising radiation? they are ultra violet, x-rays and gamma rays.
what protection do microwaves have to protect humans? microwave ovens have metal cases and screens over there glass doors which reflect and absorb the microwaves stopping them getting out.
what do microwaves transfer the energy in to? substances that contain fat and water.
why is the earth hotter than pluto? this is because plutois further away from the sun so does not get as much energy.
why is ionisation dangerous? in the cells there are many important molecules including DNA, if these cells are exposed to ionising radiation it can damage these cells and cause mutations, this can also cause cancer.
