Multiplication Vocab

equal groups Groups that have the same number of objects
array Set of objects or numbers arranged in order, often in rows & columns
rows Items arranged in a horizontal line
columns Items arranged in a vertical line
factor a number that can be divided evenly into another number
Zero Property the product of zero and any number is zero
Property of One the product of any number and 1 is that number
Distributive Property multiplying a sum by a number is the same as multiplying each addend by the number and then adding the products
Communitive Property factors that can be multiplied in any order
Associative Property when multiplying three or more factors, any two of the factors can be multiplied, and the remaining factors may then be multiplied without changing the product
product the result when two numbers are multiplied
