Interferon Is a family of proteins produced by the T cells whose specialty is fighting viruses by slowing or stopping their multiplication
B cells Are most effective against viruses and bacteria circulating in the blood
Complement Complement is a group of proteins that normally circulate in the blood in an inactive form. Complement then marks these foreign invaders and attracts phagocytes to destroy these antigens
Compomised Means weakened reduced absent or not functioning properly
Crohns disease Is an autoimmune disorder
Corticosteroid drug Is a hormone like preparation administered primarily as an anti-inflammatory an as a immunosuppressant

Fungus Is a simple parasitic organism. Ex Tinea pedis aka athletes foot- is a fungal infection that commonly develops between the toes and on the feet
Yeast Is a type of fungus.candidiasis Formerly known as moniliasis is also known as a yeast infection
Toxoplasmosis Which is a parasite, is most commonly transmitted from animals to humans by contact with contaminated feces.
Herpes zoster Aka shingles is an acute viral infection characterized by painful skin eruptions that follow the underlying route of an inflamed nerve.
Infectious mononucleosis Aka. Mono, is caused by (EBV) this condition is characterizes by fever, a sore throat, and enlarged lymph nodes.
Rubella Aka German measles, is a viral infection characterized by a low-grade fever, swollen hands, inflamed eyes, and a fine, pink rash. Can cause defects in a developing fetus
Varicella Aka chickenpox is caused by the herpes virus Varicella zoster and is highly contagious
Antiviral drug Such as Acyclovir, is used to treat viral infections or to provide temporary immunity
Myosarcoma Is a malignant tumor derived from muscle tissue
Antiangiogenesis Is a form of treatment that disrupts the blood supply to the tumor. Opposite of angiogenesis
Angiogenesis Is the process through which the tumor supports its growth by creating its own blood supply
Sarcoma Is a malignant tumor that arises in from connective tissues, including hard,soft, and liquid
Hard tissues sarcomas Arises from the bone or cartilage
Soft tissue sarcomas Arises from tissues such as muscle, connective tissues such as tendons, blood And lymphatic vessels, nerves and fat
Liquid tissues sarcomas Arises from blood and lymphs
Hodgkins lymphoma Aka Hodgkins disease. Is Distinguished from other lymphocytes by large cancerous lymphocytes known as Reed-Sternberg cells
