What is the seperation of powers? each branch has different responsibilities and checks other branches so every branch has an equal amount of power
What are checks and balances? when each branch checks other branches so here is balance betweeb power
What is the Legislative branch? House of representatives and Senate make laws to govern country
What is the Executive branch? President and the Executive branch is to carry out laws passed
What is the Judicial branch? Supreme court interprets and defines laws
What two branches are checked by the legislative branch? The jucicial and executive branch are checked by the legislative branch
What two branches are checked by the execuive branch? The legislative and judicial branch are checked by the executive branch
What two branches are checked by the judicial branch? The executive and legislative branch are checked by the judicial branch
Why do we have the seperation of powers? So no branch has more power than the other
What eventually led us to this new constitution? The weakness of the Articles of confederation
