| Hyperbole | An exaggeration. |
| Imagery | Words that create a picture in your mind. |
| Flashback | Going back in time. |
| Primary source | Source that comes straight from the source. |
| Secondary source | Somebody else talking about the information. |
| Bias | Showing favoritism. Choosing one over the other. |
| Comparison | Comparing two things. Similarities. |
| Excerpt | A piece of the text. |
| Infer | Take your clues and make a guess. |
