| compass | geometric tool used to ddraw circles or acrs |
| complementary | some adds up to 90 degrees |
| congruent angles | have the same measure |
| congruent polygons | 2 polygons are congruent if they have exactly the same shape and size |
| congruent sides | has the same length |
| decagon | 10-sided polygon |
| diameter | segment that passes throught the center of a circle and has both endpoints on the circle |
| perpendicular bisector | segment bisector that is perpendicular to the segment |
| regular polygon | polygon with all the sides and angles are congruent |
| segments | has 2 endpoints and all the points of the line between the endpoints |
| segment bisector | a line, segment, ir ray that goes throught the midpoint of a segment |
| skew lines | lie in different planes neither parallel nor intersecting |
| straight angle | angle of 180 degrees |
| isoscles triangle | triangle with atleast 2 congruent sides |
| scalene triangle | triangle with no congruent sides |
| equilateral triangle | 3 congruent sides |
| hexagon | 6-sided polygon |
| intersecting lines | 2 or more lines that cross eachother |
| irregular oolygon | measure greater than 90 but less than 180 degrees |
| line | series of points that extends in 2 opposite directios without an endpoint |
| midpoint | the point that divides the segment into 1 segments of equal length |
| obtuse angle | angle measure greater than 90 but less than 180 |
| obtuse triangle | polygon, sides and or angles that aren't all congruent |
| octagon | 8-sided polygon |
| parallel lines | lines in the same plane that never intersect |
| parallelogram | quadrilateral with both pairs of opposite sides parallel |
| pentagon | 5-sided |
| perpendicular lines | intersect to form right angle |
| plane | is a flat surface that extends indefinitely in all directions |
| point | location that has no size |
| polygon | closed figures formed by 3 or more lines, lines don't cross |
| quadrilateral | 4-sided |
| radius | segement that connects the center to the circle |
| ray | one endpoint and all the points of the line on one side of the point |
| rectangle | parallelogram with 4 right angles |
| rhombus | parallelogram with 4 congruent sides |
| right triangle | one right angle of a triangle |
| square | parallelogram with 4 right angles and sides |
