Marguerite Shepard Was "first" founder as first to pledge herself to forming the new Fraternity. Served as chapter vice president until her graduation. Helped write and make suggestions for The Ritual and Constitution
Estelle Sheard Beswick First editor of the Alpha Gamma Delta Quarterly. First Extension Chairman. Author of The Alpha Gamma Delta Girl.
Georgia Alberta Dickover Editor of Quarterly for two years. Historian of Fraternity for 18 years. Write The History. With Hickok and Morris she compiled The Ritual. Wearer of the Circle of Epsilon Pi, the Fraternity's highest honor.
Jennie Titus Smith Morris First president of the Alpha Chapter- Syracuse University and first Grand President of the Fraternity. Author of much of The Ritual. Contributed to the organization of 9 AGD chapters. Wore the first AGD badge ever created.
Ethel Evelyn Brown Distin Second president of Alpha Chapter. Helped develop and install Beta Chapter at the University of Wisconsin. Greatest contributions: loving interest, clost friendships, loyalty, and how she imparted those feelings to younger members.
Grace Mosher Harter Helped install Gamma Chapter at Wesleyan University. First social director.
Edith MacConnell Hickok Wrote the beginning of the Initiation Ritual with Dickover. Wrote several of the early Fraternity songs. Had the first Alpha Gam Baby.
Georgia Otis Chipman Wrote the part of The Ritual concerning Gamma. Was recording secretary and vice president of Alpha Chapter. Served as first Business Manager of Quarterly
Mary Louise Snyder Was president in 1909. Presided at the installation of Zeta Chapter- Ohio University. Became a missionary in Chile, teaching there for 13 years, Helped organize the first summer institute of Epworth Leagues ever heald in South America.
Emily Helen Butterfiled Designed the AGD Armorial Bearings, was architect of AGD Summer Camp Lodges, and AGD house of Alpha Chapter and Chi Chapter. Served as Editor of Quarterly for 7 years. Wore the Circle of Epsilon Pi.
Flora Knight Mayer Served on several important committees and participated in Fraternity activities. Contributed her knowledge and love of music to development of early Fraternity songs and the important music in The Ritual as chapter pianist.
