Types of Joints*

| Arthrodial joints | gliding, plane, characterized by 2 flat, or plane, bony surfaces that butt against each other: ex) carpal bones of wrist, metatarsal joints of foot |
| Condyloidal Joints | aka biaxial ball and socket, bones permits movement in 2 pairs w/o rotation: ex) wrist (radiocarpal joint), between radius and proximal row of carpal bones |
