graph a diagram in the form of bars, lines, or symbols that represent a collection of data
bar graph a graph that uses bars to show data
scale the numbers on a bar graph that help you read the number each bar shows
horizontal bar graph a bar graph in which the bars go across from left to right
vertical bar graph a bar graph in which the bars go from the bottom to the top
grid evenly spaced horizontal and vertical lines on map
ordered pair a pair of numbers that names a point on a grid. The first number tells the horizontal position and the second number tells the vertical positions.
line graph a graph that uses a line to show how data change over time
trends on a graph, areas where the data increase, decrease, or stay the same over time
