VocabularyDefinitions
Table an arrangement of data in columns and rows
Data information gathered by survey, observation, or measurement
Tally table a table that uses tally marks to record data
frequency table a table that uses numbers to record data
survey method of gathering information or data
results the answers from a survey
classify to group information according to specific traits, such as size, color, shape
line plot a diagram that uses X's above a number line to show the frequency of each value
mode the number or item occurring most often in a set of data
range the difference between the least and the greatest numbers in a set of data.

median the middle number in an ordered set of data
