Simile To compare 2 things using like or as.
Metaphor To compare 2 things not using like or as.
Personification Make something have Human characteristics Ex. "The cookies were calling my name."
Hyperbole To stretch the truth. Ex. "I told you 1,000,000 times to clean your room!!!!"
Onomatopoeia A noise. Ex. "Boom!!!"
Nouns Person, place, thing or animal. Ex. Boy, Skateboard, Friendly's, Dog.
Verbs Action words. Ex. Run, jump, leap.
Subject Tells who or what the sentance is about. Ex. Maria, The dog, Debby, The lady in the green dress.
Predicate Tells what the person is doing. Ex. Was eating a sandwich, Had a red hat on, sat on my dog.
Declaritive (.) Ex. "There are stars in the sky."
Exclamitory (!) Ex. "Wow, it's the Black Eyed Peas!!!!"
Imperitive (.!) Ex. "Go do your HW!!!"
Interogitive (?) Ex. "Why is there a dog in my room?"
Parts of a plot stucture map (in order)... Characters, Setting, Rising Action, Climax (on top) Conflict (on bottom) Resolution.
Resource A supply that can be used when needed.
Percentage A part of a whole expressed in hundreths.
Maintain To keep in exsiting state.
