What does OPEC stand for? Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries: Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Venezuela
What does OPEC do? OPEC decides the price and amount of oil produced in each country each year
Why is seawater bad for drinking and irrigation? It contains high levels of salt which are dangerous to humans and animals.
What is the process of removing salt from sea water? Desalination
What natural resource do countries on the Arabian Peninsula have in order to afford this process? Petroleum
What 2 rivers formed the “Fertile Crescent” of Ancient Mesopotamia? Tigris River and Euphrates River
