What happened in Salem in 1692? Young girls got into fights saying that they were hexed by witches. The Salem Witch Trials were caused by sexism, religious rigidity, fungus from a local plant, and mainly economic issues between farmers and merchants.

Why did Jamestown fail? Because the people were lazy and unwilling to do physical labor. The settlers died from starvation and disease.
