Absolute Value of Square Roots | square root of x^2 = absolute value of x |

Irrational Number | can't be written as a simple fraction |

Corollary | the image of y=ax^2 under the translation T h,k has the equation y-k=a(x-h)^2 |

Newton's Formula | h=-1/2gt^2=v(0)t+h(0) |

Perfect Square Trinomial | x^2+2hx+h^2 |

Theorem | to complete the square x^2+bx add (1/2b)^2 |

Quadratic Formula | x= -b plus or minus the square root of b squared minus 4ac all over 2a |

Imaginary Numbers | square roots of negatives 'i' |

i | = square root of -1 |

Complex Number | a real number an imaginary number are added a+bi |

Discriminant | b^2-4ac |

Two Real Solutions | discriminant is greater than 0 |

One Real Solution | discriminant =0 |
