| First Person Point of View | To give the innermost thoughts and or experiences of the narrator. |
| Second Person Point of View | In second person point of view, the narrator tells the story to another character using "you" |
| Third Person Point of View | The narrator, who is not a part of the story, zooms into the thoughts and feelings of one of the characters. |
| Omniscient Point of View/ All-Knowing | The narrator knows about all the characters in the story |
| Conflict | A struggle between opposing forces. |
| Irony | When the opposite of what is expected happens. |
| Verbal Irony | To say the opposite of what is expected. |
| Dramatic Irony | When the reader knows what has happened before the character does. |
| Sarcasm | To say the opposite of what is expected to insult. |

| Anecdote | A brief story that is told to teach a lesson. |
