Basic Study Set for Calculating Tax, Tip, and Discount

QuestionAnswer
To change a number from a percent to a decimal move the decimal two places to the left
To change a number from a decimal to a percent move the decimal two places to the right and add a percent sign
To calculate the amount of tax change the tax percent to a decimal and multiply by the price
A percent of change is a ratio that compares the change to the original amount
To calculate the final cost of an item that is on sale multiply the item price by the percent discount and then subtract the percent discount from the price
The normal amount for gratuity is 15%
The amount by which the price of a product is reduced discount
The percenage left for a service rendered in addition to final cost tip
An additional amount of money owed when you buy something sales tax
