Vocab for chapter 6 Prentice Hall mathematics.

WordDefinition
Commission Commission is pay that is equal to a percent of sales.
Discount A Discount is the amount by which a price decreased.
Markup Markup is the amount of increase in price.
Percent A percent is a ration that compares a number to 100.
Percent Of Change Percent of change is the percent something increases or decreases from its original amount.
Proportion A proportion is an equality of two ratios.
Ratio A ratio is a comparison of two quantities by division.
Unit Rate A unit rate is a rate that has a denominator of 1.
