QuestionAnswer
A subordinate clause used to modify nouns and pronouns. Adjective Clause
A subordinate clause used to modify a verb, adjective or an adverb. Adverb Clause
A group of words that follows a noun or pronoun to rename it; always set off by commas. Appositive Phrase
A group of two or more words which includes a subject and a predicate or verb. Clause
A sentence ahving one independent clause and one or more dependent clauses. Complex Sentence
A sentence having two independent clauses and no subordinate clauses. Compound Sentence
A sentence having two independent clauses and at least one dependent clause. Compound-Complex Sentence

A verbal form of a verb that acts like an adjective to describe a noun. Participle
