percent a ratio that compares a number to 100
proportion an equation that shows that two ratios are equivalent
proportional a relationship in which two quantities have equivalent ratios in a table and when graphed passes through the origin
rate a ratio that compares two numbers with different kinds of units (for example, gallons:hours, price:item, meters:second)
unit rate a rate with a denominator of one
perimeter the distance around a geometric figure or the sum of all its sides
circumference the distance around a circle, or it's perimeter.
area the number of square units covering a surface of a figure
