x^2+k If k is positive, what occurs to the graph? The graph shifts k units upwards.
x^2-k If k is negative, what occurs to the graph? The graph shifts k units downwards.
(x^2+h) If h is positive, what occurs to the graph? The graph shifts h units to the right.
(x^2-h) If h is negative, what occurs to the graph? The graph shifts h units to the left.
What is h in the axis of symmetry? h = x in the axis of symmetry.
What is k in the axis of symmetry? k= y in the axis of symmetry.
