Literary terms and pro-nouns

QuestionAnswer
What is Irony? The outcome is the opposite of what is expected.
What is a Rhyme Scheme? A repeated pattern of end Rhymes.
What is a Rhyming couplet? Two lines is a row that Rhyme.
What is a Sonnet? A form of poetry with 14 lines in Iambic Pentameter and a fixed Rhyme Scheme.
What is Alliteration? The repetition of two or more initial consonants. OR the first letter of a word is the same as the next first letter of the word. (eg. Tony tricked the teacher.)
What is a Simile? Comparing two unlike things using "like" or "as". Saying one thing is like the other.
What is a Metaphor? Comparing two unlike things saying one thing IS the other.
What is a Stanza? A verse in poetry.
