legend a fictional story made up about real characters during a real time in history

griffin a mythological creature, part eagle, part lion
claw the part of an animal that the animal uses to grab and kill its prey; it is sharp and dangerous.
eagle a large bird that is known for its excellent vision. It captures it prey with its sharp claws and it is an excellent hunter.
nest birds make this in order to lay their eggs and keep them safe
gold a shiny yellowish mineral that is very expensive and often sought as treasure
unicorn a mythological creature; it is a horse with a horn on its head
horn a pointy animal part, found on the head of certain animals, usually used for defense or attack
harpies mythological creatures;
sirens Mythological creatures, they are part woman and part fish, but they also have wings.
dragon Mythological creature; it is a large lizard that has a scaly body, and sometimes breathes fire and has wings.
lizard A kind of reptile that has four legs and a scaly body. It has no shell.
scales The kind of skin that fish and some reptiles have; it is a shiny, rough skin.
breathe To inhale and exhale
centaur Mythological creature: half horse, half man.
mermaid Mythological creature: half fish, half woman.
feather These cover the body of birds.
phoenix A mythological creature; its a bird that lives 500 years and burns to death so that its young can be born.
fleece A sheep's wool.
adventure A mission, or journey, that usually presents several challenges
mythology The study of myths or the series of myths from a specific culture.
mammal category of animals; they are air- breathing vertebrates, whose young are born directly from the womb (not from an egg). They usually have hair or fur.
labyrinth A maze.
pirate Someone who sails in search for treasure, and who steals from other ships.
treasure Something of value; gold, jewels, etc.
