Perfect square a number that is the square of a whole number
Square root a number when multiplied times itself is a perfect square
Pythagorean Theorem a²+b²=c²
Leg The two short sides on a right triangle
Hypotenuse The longest side of right triangle-opposite the right angle
Irrational number Numbers that cannot be written in the form a/b where a and b are integers and b≠0
Reflection a transformation that flips a figure over a line
Rotation a transformation that turns a figure around a point
Rotational Symmetry when a figure can be rotated 180° or less and exactly match the original figure
Line of Symmetry a line that divides a figure into mirror images
Transformations a change in position, shape or size of a figure
Translation a transformation that moves each point of a figure the same distance and in the same direction
