Abyss an immeasurable depth. The boy fell into a deep and never ending abyss.
Amnesia Loss of memory. He had Amnesia, and could not remember his name.
Anecdote A short interesting story. about a specific person or event. My grandpa tells great anecdotes, they are interesting and usually about my grandma.
Anesthetic Something that causes loss of feeling. When he took the anesthetic he could not feel his broken leg.
Anemia Lack of Red blood cells causign weakness and paleness. My mom has anemia and needs more red blood cells she is weak and pale.
Anomaly Something that is different from what is normal.
Apathy A lack of interest or energy. He entered the class with apathy and participated without energy of interest.
Asymmetrical Irregular, lacking symmetry or balance.

Analgestic A medication that reduces pain I took an alagestic because I hurt my foot and needed to reduce the pain.
Anarchy A lack of established government. Somalia is experiencing civil war and has left there organized government, leaving the country in a state of anarchy.

Atrophy Wasting away. He was in a state of atrophy, because he was sick in bed and his muscles were wasting away.
