acute angle An angles that measures between 0 and 90 degrees
obtuse angle An angle that measures between 90 and 180 degrees.
right angle An angle that measures 90 degrees.
straight angle An angle that measures 180 degress.
supplementary angles Two angles that have a sum of 180 degress.
complementary Two angles that have a sum of 90 degrees.
linear pair Two angles that are adjacent and supplementary.
adjacent angles Angles that share a side and share a vertex.
vertical angles Opposite (non-adjacent) angles formed when two lines cross.
perpendicular Intersecting lines (segments or rays) forming right angles.
midpoint The point that divides a segment into two equal parts
bisect To cut into two equal parts
perpendicular bisector A line (segment or ray) that divides a segment into two equal parts and forms right angles with the segment.
line One of the three undefined terms..
angle bisector A ray (or line segment) that divides angle into two equal parts.
skew Non-coplanar lines that do not intersect.
compass A tool used in constructions
coplanar In the same plane.
collinear On the same line.
vertex The point that two rays intersect to form an angle.
angle Formed by two rays that share a common endpoint.
Point One of the three undefined terms. Represents a location in space.
Line Segment Part of a line between two specific points called endpoints. It is measurable.
Ray Part of a line from one point (endpoint) that includes all the points on the same side as that endpoint.
Degrees The unit of measure for angles.
congruent angles Two (or more) angles that have the same measure.
