Pre- and Post

| Prevent | to stop something from happening before it occurs. |
| Prefix | a syllabe or word that comes before a root word that changes its meaning. |
| Precaution | A measure taken in advance to preven harm. |
| Predict | To say what will happen before it occurs. |
| Precede | To come before something in time, order, or rank. |
| Posthumous | Occuring or continuing after death. |
| Postscript | A comment, note, or thought written after the letter is written. (P.S.) |
| Postmark | A mark printed across a stamp after it is received by the post office. |
| Postpone | To do something at a time or date after it is originally planned. |
| Postdate | To write on something the date that comes after the real date. |
