The 8 parts of speech

QuestionAnswer
a word that names a person, place, or thing NOUN
a word that shows action or state of being VERB
a word that describes or gives more information about a noun or pronoun ADJECTIVE
a word that describes a verb, an adjective, or another adverb and tells when, where, how, or to what extent ADVERB
a word that shows the relationship of a noun or pronoun to another word PREPOSITION
a word that expresses strong feeling INTERJECTION
a word in the place of a noun PRONOUN
a word that connects words or groups of words CONJUNCTION
